A step into Time, a walk into the Sea World

A step into time, a walk into the sea world, features common attractions and sites all around the island of New Providence. The artist allows viewers to take a bird’s eye view of these landmarks that we so ordinarily see, to view them from the perspective of a diver; a plunge into the aquatic life. The first painting of this series features a bird’s eye view of Bay Street, as stories were told about this same focus strip being commonly used for the local fishermen. They gathered along the side of the streets to sell their catches of fish for the day. In the same painting, the scuba diver’s mask highlights the colorful and watery carnival of the coral reef life. The painting transcends the buildings, cars and people you would most normally find on the streets into a busy aquatic Metropolitan scene.

The next painting features the 66 steps, also known as the Queen’s staircase from the diver’s eye view of the deep caverns of the blue holes. This blue hole is combined with a tranquil and quiet tropical historical landmark of the island. Pictures below feature the journey  taken on the actual site of the rustic, moss covered  and stone-carved staircase.

The most recent painting takes a look into the physical landscape of Atlantis, so commonly known for its massive fish tanks. The artist takes a plunge into the fishy oasis  of  Atlantis, to view the building as if it were emerged into hundred of gallons of water. Its looks as just like we would always want to imagine it to be.

At the end of this week, both the pieces of the Queen’s staircase  and Atlantis will be released. Feel free to view and explore other paintings by myself, on the website.
